Real Estate Agent

Quentin Warren is a longtime Newport resident, having grown up on Mill Street across from Touro Park and the Old Stone Mill, now at home in a circa-1883 Victorian house in the Top of the Hill neighborhood above Easton’s Beach. He spent his youth on Narragansett Bay and Rhode Island Sound sailing aboard his grandfather’s Casey-built yawl Souris, then a decade following college participating in a range of events both inshore and offshore as crew on various oceangoing race boats. His background on the water and interest in writing provided a natural entrée into marine journalism, first as an associate editor at Cruising World magazine in Newport, then as a senior editor at Blue Water Sailing magazine in Middletown. More recently Quentin has written professionally on a freelance basis for a variety of magazines, journals and websites. He spent 11 years as a development writer and director of foundation relations in the St. George’s School advancement office. He has written for Salve Regina University, Newport Life magazine, the West Indies Management Company (WIMCO) and other local venues.

It is Quentin’s affinity for Newport and Aquidneck Island that brought him to Gustave White Sotheby’s International Realty. He knows the town well and understands its nuances. He is on the Properties Committee of the Preservation Society of Newport County, an organization founded by his grandmother Katherine Warren and pivotal to the endorsement of Newport’s unique architectural heritage. His late father was an architect and instilled in him a cultural perspective on the city’s role as a center and source of real estate-driven possibility. Quentin knows what it means to live in Newport and he knows what Aquidneck Island has to offer.
