Established in 1925 with the partnership of Andrews and
White, the firm of Gustave J.S. White has consistently been associated
with fine real estate, auctions, and appraisals. For the past 80
years, Gustave White has handled the marketing of quality Newport
County properties from 'Sandy Point', the estate of Reginald Vanderbilt,
to 'Hammersmith Farm', the home of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and
'Fairholme', the estate of Anita O'Keefe Young.
Since 2000, the company has been owned by Christina K. West and
Paul A. Leys and continues to offer buyers and sellers the hallmarks
of exceptional service and professionalism. While specializing in
the high-end market, the goal of Gustave White is to represent properties
of all kinds and in all price ranges with integrity and confidence.
Gustave White's Newport office employs a team of 20 experienced
full-time sales professionals servicing all of Newport County, from
large estates to more moderately priced single and multi-family
houses and condominiums. The expertise of the agents also extends
to the commercial market, residential land sales, and rentals.
In June of 2004, Christina West and Paul Leys expanded their successful
and well-established agency by opening a second office in the seaside
community of Westerly, Rhode Island. With a team of 8 experienced
full-time sales associates, the Westerly branch is a full service
office handling residential and commercial properties, appraisals
and rentals throughout southern Rhode Island and southeastern Connecticut.
Gustave J.S. White became Sotheby's International Realty's first
affiliate in 1982. In May of 2005 this relationship was re-affirmed,
thus solidifying the firm's commitment to preeminent service. Distinguished,
experienced and knowledgeable, Gustave White Sotheby's International
Realty seeks to surpass customer expectations.
